A nice re-creation of the sheriff's office and jail from the Andy Griffith show. Worth a few minutes to check it out on the way out of Mt. Airy (i.e. Mayberry).Full review by JrnyJunkie

I don't remember seeing anything posted for the operating hours. Everything in town seems to be a little bit subjective, with hours that vary depending on the day of the week and the season. We were there on a Saturday in April and many things were already closing up shop by 3 pm (the Courthouse was still open until at least 5:30 or 6 pm that day). It, and the replica shop fronts for other Mayberry businesses, is adjacent to Wally's Service Station, so it is possible that the Courthouse hours coincide with the Service Station hours, but I can't be certain. I would recommend calling ahead to get a better idea of the hours of operation. You can check out the "visitmayberry" website to get more information, but I took the liberty of copying down the contact information for the Visitor's Center in case you'd like to check with them: Mount Airy Visitors Center P.O. Box 913, 200 North Main Street Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030-0913 Phone: 800-948-0949 or 336-786-6116 Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you but hope this information is helpful!
