How well equipped is this site for someone with limited mobility? My traveling companion uses a cane or a walker. She cannot take stairs that are uneven or lack handrails. Would she still enjoy a visit here? How does the accessibility of this site compare to nearby Castelnaud?

Unfortunately I did not visit Castelnaud so can't compare the two but would say that the access to Beynac would be very difficult for someone with mobility issues. The access lanes are steep and cobbled with occasional steps. very picturesque but extremely hard work for anyone not fully mobile. Maybe check with local tourist information offices as to whether there is an alternative route to the top. It would be well worth a visit if easier access can be found. There are restaurants up there so they must have supplies delivered somehow. Hope this helps!
