Went with 2 under 10 years kids, both really enjoyed the wild location and the adjoining Kirk. Beautiful valley setting and path walk up to and back through wild fields. Still closed 'for restoratio…Full review by ryanpt248

Great wee place to bring a picnic or your chips and have a small walk around. Not a lot to see and a bit of a walk to get up to the castle but really enjoy it every time I go. Full review by Lumjum

How do I get there using public transportation from Edinburgh?

the perryman's bus from the bridges will take you. get of the first stop in Pathhead and cross over the road it is a nice walk but sign posted.
