A little disappointing. If you are a Hemingway fanatic - ok - go - but for me it was a let down. You can't go inside (for good reasons of course) the exterior is quite run down - like most of Cuba.Full review by heckman

Get a taxi by all means. Ask to be picked up for your return. Do not venture downhill to the main highway, it can be challenging to flag down another cab. The cost did not seem to high for us Americans with dollars. Allow two hours minimum for your visit to El Vigia.
