It depends on your comfort level. Neither my husband or I get claustrophobic. You could walk in and if you don't like it leave.The tunnels are very long.
My grandad is 82 years old and we are visiting Gibraltar for our holiday in July. He would love to see the tunnels but are there lots of steps and unsteady floor?. He’s quite able and walks independently with no walking stick but just concerned about the steps and cardio side of this trip. Thanks

I agree, the floor is flat although hewn out of rock do not totally smooth. There is no time pressure so you can walk at your own pace. The tunnels are on a gradient slowly downwards I think your grandad could see a fair amount easily and get a good feel for this amazing piece of military history
