Featuring American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography, the High Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 18,000 pieces, many of which can be viewed from different levels of the four-story, glass atrium.

It all depends on how long you take to look at the exhibits. Some areas we zip through and others we stare in wonder and discuss the genius of the piece. I would definitely go early in the day and allow a minimum of 2 hours for a cursory exploration. It is a beautiful and interesting museum, so you can easily spend 3-4 hours enjoying yourself. Have fun! And go back when you can. It is always evolving! : )
Is it worth the trip and ticket to see the High Museum of Art?

I found it to be a good and interesting museum and easy to access. If you're a Bank of America account holder and go the first weekend of a month, you get free entry!
