Hi! The entrance fee is very low and the experience is worth the cost. There is a mine shaft that is fenced off but has some of the original equipment around it. This place is like the Island Of Lost Toys, except it's the Island Of Lost Everything. There are antique cars, machinery of all description, tools, motorcycles, gadgets, goats, motorcycles, Tanker trucks, chickens, and a huge automobile graveyard. The guy that runs it is fascinating and loves to talk about the machinery. He is also a great local historian. We had an absolute blast and would have stayed longer except it was getting late and we were cold.
Q:
Is the museum & ghost town wheel chair accessible?
A:
yes and there is a discount admission for a disability
Q:
Are you able to visit the mine without being on a 'tour' or paying a fee?
A:
In the gift shop you pay a fee to enter the mine
Q:
Can I still buy slabs of wood from the logs that the sawmill cuts? I got some 9 yrs. ago and love them, and want more!
A:
I personally can't answer that. But you can call the souvenir store I believe and they can answer that question. You can go to the website for the info.
Q:
Are the roads in and out suitable for a 30' RV?
A:
It's a very narrow road to get there with steep grades and hairpin-type turns.
