I'm planning a trip to Lokrum from Cavtat and have been told by the ferry company that there is an entry fee of 90 kuna to land on the island. This is in addition to the 100 kuna ferry ride. Is this true or is someone trying to make a quick buck? Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone must pay an entrance fee to enter the island. So yes you pay 100 kuna for a return boat trip from Cavtat + 120 kuna upon arrival to enter the island = 220 kuna. You can get a ferry from Dubrovnik to the island which includes entrance fee for 150 kuna total. However remember you would have to get the bus from Cavtat in addition this = 25 kuna + 150 kuna = 175 kuna. The 45 kuna is not a huge saving & the boat trip from Cavtat is much nicer than bus. To cut your costs purchase you boat ticket the day before for a 20% discount. We were offered this by the Sea line service & only paid 80 kuna for the round trip. 200 kuna for the boat & island entrance total.
