Nice boardwalk to get up close to the bridge. Plenty of parking and free. Family friendly as well. Enjoyable at sunset and sunrise. Full review by kpbooth3

The views were amazing. Great little gift shop that sells food and other items. Great place to sit and relax and watch the boats in the harbor. Full review by Sheila172

This is an amazing park; for walking. There is great historical information in the visitor center. The store on the pier has fun things. They had a festival there on Saturday while we were visiting. … Full review by Kayleen C

Hello! We are looking for a place to watch fireworks in Mt Pleasant. This park seems perfect, but is it open to watch the fireworks still? I see they hold an Uncle Sam Jam on the pier, but we are just looked by for a grassy spot for good viewing that we can bring a cooler. Any advise? Is parking free?
A:
I can tell you that parking is not free. There are lots but perhaps further down the road it might be free. I don’t remember any hillsides that might make viewing good. Maybe try Morris …

I'm not 100% sure on this, but my guess would be no. There are sitting areas along with tables and swings along the pier therefore I would think there might be a safety issue with bikes on the pier. Also there is a playgound for kids near the pier but it is fenced in. I do believe there was a place to park bikes near the pier as well. So, to answer the question, I don't think a bike would be allowed on the pier. To be absolutely sure you might need to contact the visitors center located at the Waterfront Park.
Q:
Is this park pet friendly?
A:
Yes :)
Q:
What is the name of the salt scrub that is in the bathrooms at the Visitor Center? And is there a way I can order it online?

Hi, Cathy. What would you like to know about this attraction? What hotel did you stay at? My husband is in a wheelchair and we were looking for a hotel that is within walking distance so we could go out on the pier in the evenings.

Kathy, the park is wheel chair friendly. It is located underneath the Ravenel Bridge and there are no stairs to maneuver. A walking pier, and park along the Cooper River. There are hotels at Patriot's Point, next door and hotels at the foot of the bridge, just to the North. I know there is a Holiday Inn Express, Red Roof in. Just google Hotels-Mt. Pleasant-on Johnny Dodds Blvd.
