Admission is free but donations are welcome. Our family spent about an hour in the museum. There is a video playing and watching it would add some time onto your visit. We made a day out of it and hit the beach, just across the street. If you have school age children be sure to pick up a National Park Passport book and get a stamp at the front desk. They also have a scavenger hunt for kids to participate in while looking at the exhibits.
