How difficult is the hike to the top of the mountain on Bird Island? How rugged is the hike up?
A:
The hike is very short but steep with rock surfaces that at times provide minimal traction. Not a trail for those with any limitations. Beautiful views from the top make it worth the effort!

It is not often that cannot instantly answer a traveler's question, but you sure have posed a difficult one. Most tours that I can think off that take in Bird Island are either circumnavigation or day excursion tours. I am not aware of any operators running trips just to Bird Island. However all is not lost. I know of two operators who include Bird Island stop overs on their trips. WADADLI CATS, I've used them and they are good. Power plus Sailing Catamaran. Also Tropical Adventures who operate a powered catamaran called Excellence.
