Sadly the palace is currently closed for renovation and is covered with scaffolding and netting. Lovely lake beside it and I'm sure it's a lovely place when it's open. Full review by SallyF906

Free to get in and during the summer the Reina Sofia museum typically does free temporary art exhibits inside. To find the bathroom, go inside the building, walk all the way to the back - there are two staircases to go down. From what I remember there are only 2 or 3 toilets on the women's side so definitely get in line before you need to go.
