Very good place for kids to spend the day indoors during winter school holidays. Lots to see and do. You have to go out of the premises to have food. Must visit place at least once. DR Sudath Kondas… Full review by Pioneer41857372598

I had not been there for a few years and the renovations have made it a great visit. Plenty to do for all ages and easy to find. Staff are very friendly. Full review by Grifology70

Q:
Is there any entry fee for acmi.
A:
Sorry for the late reply - no entrance fee except to the special exhibitions. We didn't have time for them so we just stuck to the main space.

I have not seen the David Bowie show, but many friends of different ages have and all have enjoyed it immensely. As others have told you, you may spend as much time as you like looking at the show. If you are going to the expense and bother of flying to Melbourne, you really should consider staying overnight to make the most of the city. So much to see and do - and eat! Hotels along Flinders Street, like the Rendevous are very close, as are those in Southbank. Sydney has a beautiful setting but Melbourne has a lot of charm and is easy to navigate. Look for a hotel deal and please enjoy the city! (Also, the Skybus will take you from Tullamarine Airport right into the city. Much easier than struggling with the trains from Sydney airport.)
