Leon is the second player to arrive at United this summer, following the £62.5m addition of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves last month.

Manchester United have completed the signing of teenage full-back Diego Leon from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno. United secured the deal for the 18-year-old for a $4m fee with up to $5m in add-ons based on first team achievements, after completing a pre-contract deal in the winter window.

The start of Man United's pre-season preparations has highlighted the need for more new signings sooner rather than later.
