The grievances of the Agniveers and farmers are seen as major factors for the BJP’s tepid performance in the state during the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year, and the issues are expected to play an even bigger role in next month’s assembly polls.

Interestingly, both political parties have made promises which are similar to each other. The BJP has made 20 election promises, of which five are similar to those made by the Congress.

Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda on Thursday released the party's 'Sankalp Patra' (manifesto) for the Haryana Assembly Elections. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli were present at the event.
