BREMEN, Ky. β The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Muhlenberg County. Troopers say they responded to a call at approximately 4:42 p.m. on Thursday from the Muhlenberg County Sheriffβs Department for a fatal crash on KY 70, 8 miles east of Madisonville.
KSP investigating shooting death of Letcher County judge
The preliminary investigation shows that Letcher County Sheriff Shawn M. Stines, 43, of McRoberts, fatally shot Mullins after an argument inside the courthouse. Stines was taken into custody at the scene. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
