Like clockwork, Bayern Munich have heralded the arrival of a distinct autumnal chill in the air by launching their new special edition kit ahead of this year's Oktoberfest in the Bavarian region of southern Germany.

More than just a beer festival, Oktoberfest celebrates Bavarian culture with its rich history, traditions, and festive atmosphere.

The festival takes place in Munich every year, at Theresienwiese, a 100-acre fairground space in the city’s Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district, near the Old Town. Believe it or not, Oktoberfest isn’t actually considered a beer festival in Germany – instead, it’s a folksy celebration popular among families as well as those after a stein or two.

While the city of Wichita Falls marks Hispanic Heritage Month with Taco Fest on Saturday, September 21, 2024, the city of Elgin, Oklahoma will be celebrating German culture for the official start of Oktoberfest in Munich.
