Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday said 364 trains ran to various destinations from different stations of Prayagraj for the convenience of devotees returning home after taking holy dip in Sangam on the day of Mauni Amavasya on January 29.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh visited the Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj on Thursday to meet those injured in a stampede that occured during the Maha Kumbh a day earlier, which commenced on January 13.

IndiGo has increased its flights and seat capacity to/from Prayagraj Airport during the period of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which commenced on January 13th and will continue until February 26th, 2025.

A fire broke out in 15 tents at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday morning. The fire was doused and there was no casualty in the incident, according to the Fire Department.
