Connections is a word game debuted by The New York Times on June 12, 2023. Since its launch, it has become the newspaper's second most-played word puzzle behind Wordle. Earlier this year, Connections developer and crossword editor Wyna Liu spoke with Newsweek about the game's global following.

If you get a letter in the right place for any of the four words, it will light up in green. If a word contains a letter from one of your guesses but it’s in the wrong place, it will appear in yellow. You could always check out the practice games before taking on the daily puzzle.

He said: "One thing that I think is important in this game is the starting word chosen. Starting off with words that include commonly used vowels, for example, e and a, consonants such as r and t, and sound sequences might be helpful.
