On Wednesday at 9:54 p.m. the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA issued a wind advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Thursday 6 p.m. The advisory is for Interstate 5 Corridor, Western San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor and Eastern San Gabriel Mountains.

High winds that weather officials have called "life-threatening and destructive" are hitting Southern California Tuesday, sparking a major brush fire in Pacific Palisades and prompting thousands of power outages.

A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:30 a.m. in effect until 6 p.m. for Southern Wayne as well as Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.

On Wednesday at 11:18 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory in effect until Thursday at 10 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
