MADISON - Tessa Grady announced Thursday that she is taking a leave of absence from the Wisconsin women’s basketball team. The news comes almost a week after the 6-foot-2 sophomore forward seemed to voice support on social media for former Badger Tessa Towers’ allegations of mistreatment against UW coach Marisa Moseley and her staff and alluded to no longer being on the team herself.

Wisconsin has been outscored by 2.2 points per game (scoring 65.7 per game to rank 175th in college basketball while giving up 67.9 per contest to rank 263rd in college basketball) and has a -47 scoring differential overall. Serah Williams paces Wisconsin, averaging 18.7 points per game (43rd in the nation).

Former Wisconsin women’s basketball player Tessa Towers alleged mistreatment by the women's basketball program in a TikTok posted Monday. “My freshman year experience was completely ruined,” Towers wrote in the post, which included pictures of her during her time as a Badger.
