X Outage: Musk Blames 'Massive Cyberattack' for Twitter Going Down

The first outage seems to have occurred around 2.30 a.m. PT, according to DownDetector, with a further and more significant spike in reports occurring around 7 a.m. PT (Downdetector is owned by the same parent company as CNET, Ziff Davis). After the outage appeared to be fixed, reports are currently spiking once more.

X users report a series of outages

Downdetector.com said that 56% of problems were reported for the X app, while 33% were reported for the website. In March 2023 the social media platform then known as Twitter experienced a bevy of glitches for over an hour as links stopped working, some users were unable to log in and images were not loading for others.
