TikTok is purportedly building a new version of its platform for users in the United States ahead of a planned sale to a group of investors, per technology publication The Information, which cited anonymous sources for the report.

W e may be one step closer to finally closing the book on the endlessly-postponed TikTok ban. The Information is reporting that TikTok is working on a U.S. version of the app. Called M2, the new app is being eyed for a September release ahead of a sale to U.S. owners.
