A first-time winner of the Concacaf Nations League will be crowned on Sunday at SoFi Stadium, where Mexico and Panama will face off in the final of the competition as both target a statement-making win with the 2026 World Cup in North America on the horizon.

The team they had to beat in 2023? Panama. The Latin American nation was able to stun their way to another North American final by stunning everyone when they beat the U.S. in the semifinals on Thursday, punching the country’s ticket to a CONCACAF Final for the fourth time ever. However, Panama has never taken home the grand prize.

Mexico men's national team will try to claim its first CONCACAF Nations League title on Sunday when it faces Panama in the competition's final at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. El Tri striker Raúl Jiménez scored both of Mexico's goals, with the first coming 46 seconds into the match, during its 2-0 win over Canada on Thursday in the semifinals.
