Days after quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury, coach Kevin Stefanski announced Wednesday that Jameis Winston will start Sunday against Baltimore and that he is handing over play-calling duties to coordinator Ken Dorsey.

BEREA, Ohio — Jameis Winston has been the Browns’ inspirational leader since he and his booming voice and larger-than-life presence showed up on the Browns’ doorstep in March when he signed here as a free agent. Now, stepping in as the starter, he knows his words and actions will pack even more of a wallop.

Deshaun Watson's season ended on Sunday after he suffered a non-contact Achilles injury and was carted off the field. Although it was Dorian Thompson-Robinson who entered the game in place of Watson after the injury, the Browns won't be starting the former fifth-round pick against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.
