The Eagle and Sun in Salt Way, Hanbury, is known for its 'home cooked' carvery which is served daily at the pub by Hanbury Wharf with a special deal for pensioners which has proved a popular draw.

A spokesperson for Eagle and Sun said the closure had not significantly affected its pub and the works may have already finished. Work is expected to finish on Salt Way tomorrow at 5pm.
