Smith Elementary School hosted its first Grandparents’ Day, filled with arts and crafts and reading. “My grandchildren are my world,” Wanda Jenkins, a grandmother, said.

Helen Steiner Rice Elementary School in Lorain held its Spring Craft and Vendor Show on March 22. The proceeds from the event benefited the school’s Parent Teacher Organization.

Riverside High School’s National Honor Society chapter is planning community carnival and craft show events this month. The chapter’s second elementary carnival is set for 5 to 7 p.m. on April 12.
