GM has a new logo, and it’s a fairly radical change. The blue square with “GM” underlined in all capital white letters in the middle was GM’s look since the 1960s.
The new logo is meant to be a modernized version of GM's trademark blue square, while still giving a nod to GM's heritage. This is only the fifth logo change in 113 years, Wahl said.
The new logo was created by GM’s own designers. Even the font was created in-house, the company said. It’s the first time the automaker has substantially changed its logo since 1964.
