After defeating Manhattan in its season opener Monday, Maryland men’s basketball continued its dominant play Friday, beating Mount St. Mary’s, 86-52. The Terps fell behind, 10-2, early, but regained momentum quickly thanks to a bevy of skillful shooting performances.

Rice converted for two points plus a foul from the trailing defender. The crowd erupted as Maryland extended its first-half lead to 23 as part of a 29-3 Terps run. The Virginia Tech transfer scored 26 first-half points to lead Maryland past Mount St. Mary’s, 86-52, on Friday.

Maryland men’s basketball led Manhattan by just three at halftime, but found a new gear in the final 20 minutes and sprung ahead en route to a dominant 79-49 victory in its season opener Monday. Head coach Kevin Willard’s new-look roster was expected to be a lot more dynamic than it was a year ago.
