Imagine, if you will, a world in which Chip and Dale existed on this mortal plane despite being animated chipmunks–and they were devastated by the cancelation of their TV show in the early ‘90s.

John Mulaney and Andy Samberg are the titular chipmunk duo in Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers, a wacky, reference-heavy romp through a half-toon, half-human world.

The official trailer, however, goes all out. Appearances include Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast, Flounder from The Little Mermaid, and a terrifying, grown-up Peter Pan who hunts down Chip and Dale.
