UA unveiled a new license plate design with a throwback look, including the Vault A logo that was retired in 1998 after 25 years.

Net proceeds from the license plate program provide scholarships to Alabama resident students. Individuals with the current UA tag can renew to the new design tag starting June 1.

The Vault A license plate replaces the design that debuted on the UA tags in 2015. The old design prominently featured a script A logo to the left of the registration number.

1920s and 1930s license plate design was noteworthy, featuring handsome fonts, intriguing logos, and state totems. For three years Arizona even produced a solid copper plate.
