Dollmaker Mattel has launched its first Barbie with Type 1 diabetes, which features her with a glucose monitor and insulin pump. The idea, developed in collaboration with Breakthrough T1D, the company says,

The latest Barbie slays in a chic blue polka-dot crop top, ruffled miniskirt, chunky high-top heels and an insulin pump. She is the brand’s first doll with type 1 diabetes.

Mattel introduces a new Barbie Fashionista doll representing type 1 diabetes, designed in collaboration with Breakthrough T1D. This doll features an insulin pump, glucose monitor, and accessories, reflecting the reality of children living with the condition.
