A bomb threat at the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters office on Saturday prompted an evacuation of the building and temporarily halted the election vote count.

The bomb threat was “communicated to” the registrar’s main facility on Berger Drive in North San Jose about 8 a.m. Saturday, leading to the evacuation of the building. Vote counting was suspended until the building can be cleared, according to the report.
