The project above creates shelves made from thinner cuts of wood that ascend the wall, attaching them with brackets underneath and cutting apart the tree limb to use as faux risers between them.

“The branch was taken to the workshop and twisted, turned, and readapted so it could hug a flat wall and live a new life as a shelf,” says a statement on the artist’s website.
