Uniqlo will release the Ai Yazawa Collection, which features four of her manga works including Nana, in July 2025 in Japan.

The owner of the Uniqlo clothing company said Thursday that net profit rose 8.4% to a new record high of 296.23 billion yen ($1.99 billion) in the fiscal year ended Aug. 31.

It already has 930 Uniqlo outlets in mainland China - more than in Japan - making it a bellwether for retailers operating in the world's second-biggest economy.
