The city of McKinney's planning and zoning commission unanimously approved site plans for a new airport terminal, costing over $70 million, which will now go before the city council for final approval next Tuesday.

The McKinney City Council had previously approved the site plan in a 5-2 vote on Jan. 7. Together, these approvals signal growing momentum for future commercial airline service in Collin County.
