Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from the reserved constituency of Sultanpur Majra, will be the only new face in the council of ministers headed by Atishi, Delhi's CM designate, when it is sworn in on Saturday.

Aam Aadmi Party senior officials have confirmed that Delhi's designated Chief Minister Atishi alongside her cabinet will officially take oaths of office on 21.

AAP’s Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat won the Sultanpur Majra Assembly seat by 48,000 votes in 2020. He has been inducted to fill the vacancy created by social welfare minister Raaj Kumar Anand's resignation.

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi chief minister on Tuesday. Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena and submitted his resignation. Atishi, who accompanied Kejriwal, staked a claim to form the next government in Delhi soon after.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister-designate Atishi and her cabinet will take the oath of office on September 21, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Thursday. The ruling party had initially decided that only Atishi would be sworn in; however, it was later determined that her council of ministers would also take the oath.
