Butterball just introduced its Cook from Frozen Premium Whole Turkey, which customers can simply remove from the freezer and pop into the oven on the big day. The company says there’s “no thawing, no mess and no stress” involved in the preparation of its new product.

If you are already dreading the Thanksgiving feast preps, Butterball has at least one step in the process you can cut.

The iconic turkey producer Butterball has a new product geared to make Thanksgiving easier — the Butterball Cook from Frozen Premium Whole Turkey. The turkey, geared for novice cooks, has no giblets or neck to fill the cavity. Plus, as the name indicates, there's no defrosting for 24 hours to get the bird ready for the oven.

With convenience in mind, the new Cook from Frozen turkey just requires two easy steps: unwrap and roast. There is no thawing necessary. It also doesn’t need basting, brining or evening seasoning. Butterball says it has made a “specially formulated” brine that keeps the meat moist during the roughly five-hour-long roasting process.

Then plop the turkey in a roasting pan, spray or brush the turkey with oil then bake. No need to cover it for the first few hours. When it hits the 4-hour mark, then Butterball said to loosely tent it with foil to prevent overcooking.
