What Ole Miss basketball coach Chris Beard saw in the practice facility a few days ago backed his belief in Davon Barnes' ability to seal the game.

The Longhorns travelled to Oxford to matchup against Rodney Terry's former boss Chris Beard, who is now the Head Coach at the University of Mississippi. It was the first time the two have met since Beard was fired as Head Coach at Texas in 2022.

Texas coach Rodney Terry, Chris Beard's former lead assistant at UT, says the Ole Miss coach remains one of "my really close friends in the business."
