Shelley Sykes told Australian media of a desperate battle to save her 32-year-old son Rory Sykes, who had cerebral palsy.

Rory Sykes, the British-born Australian actor and humanitarian first introduced on TVs more than two decades ago, died at the age of 32 after being unable to escape his home during the Palisades Fire. Sykes' mother Shelley announced his passing in a post on social media.

Former child actor and Australia citizen Rory Callum Sykes died at his home in Malibu after his mother was unable to contact 911 during the Palisades Fire.
