Carrie Underwood performed a stirring a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful" after the official swearing-in of President Donald Trump at his inauguration on Jan. 20. Savannah Guthrie noted during NBC News' coverage of the inauguration ceremony that Underwood spontaneously sang a cappella due to an issue with the band that was set to play with her.

Dressed in a cream colored gown, Underwood sang an a cappella rendition of the song after the prerecorded music track apparently failed.
