Trace Cyrus, brother of Miley Cyrus and son of Bill Ray Cyrus, wrote on social media Saturday that his father threatened legal action against him following a plea for Billy Ray to get help.

Over the years, the Cyrus family has made headlines for a number of reasons, and more recently, it’s the brood’s patriarch and one of his children who have made the news. 35-year-old Trace Cyrus recently penned an open letter to adopted father Billy Ray Cyrus,

The country singer's son wrote a heartfelt open letter on Instagram after that viral inauguration performance: "You’re not healthy Dad and everyone is noticing it."

"You should be ashamed of yourself," Trace wrote publicly on Saturday, two days after saying he's "genuinely worried" about the country star's well-being.

Billy Ray has now posted a short video to YouTube from his 2008 track “Somebody Say a Prayer”, along with a caption that seemed to address his family strife. “Sunday callin,” he wrote. “Giving thanks for the California rain. Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children… sons and daughters… and their mother.
