Twitter/X becomes latest TikTok mimic with dedicated video tab
This week, X began rolling out a dedicated video tab for U.S. users with a TikTok-esque endless scroll. “The Video Tab has arrived. LFG,” X CEO Linda Yaccarino wrote in a post Sunday night. If you’re still getting your dopamine from X despite, well, everything, you can find the tab next to the Grok AI button on the bottom of your screen.

In a move to capitalize on the uncertainty surrounding TikTok, X has introduced a new tab specifically for vertical videos. While X already offered short-form videos accessible through scrolling the feed, the new tab consolidates them into a central location.

TikTok bid adieu to its US users over the weekend before returning for an encore with no clear ending. But, it's now joined by a few copycats, including X (formerly Twitter). X announced late Sunday night in owner Elon Musk's typical cringy fashion ( see here) that its US users now have a dedicated tab for vertical videos.
