The new school year has brought no respite for pupils at Cheam Common Junior and Infant schools, who spent most of last term crossing Central Road unaided.

Officers were called to Cheam Common Road, London, at 5.05pm on September 7. Police have now launched an appeal to find a man who was in the vicinity just half an hour before the blaze started.
