Delta plane evacuated via slide at Atlanta airport due to engine issue, ground stop lifted
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is halting operations temporarily due to an incident that prompted an aircraft to abort takeoff. According to a post on X, at 9:10 Friday morning, passengers were forced to deplane via emergency slides to a nearby concourse. Four of those passengers are reportedly injured, with one being transported.
Operations are currently delayed at the aiport due to the incident and the ongoing inclement weather, officials said.
