Sectional Charts have a scale of 1:500,000 (1 inch = 6.86 nautical miles (NM)). World Aeronautical Charts WAC charts have a scale of 1:1,000,000 and cover a larger area of land.

The world charts come in three styles: “sectional-style” VFR charts for use at low levels, “World Low” for low-altitude IFR enroute charts, and “World Hi” for high-altitude enroute charts.
