As the Dune: Part Two trailer shows, Paul and Jessica have become more at home with the Fremen. The footage builds to a key moment from the book: Paul riding a sandworm.

The message is clear: Paul, Jessica, and the audience aren't in Arrakeen anymore. They're in Fremen territory now, and that means worms. Dune: Part Two builds further on that pivotal sandworm scene.

Paul is making his first and only attempt at successfully riding a sandworm in this scene from Dune: Part Two. Either Shai-Hulud will let him, or Paul will die.

In the source material, when Stilgar agrees to take Paul and Jessica to the Sietch Tabr following a close call with the sandworm, they all simply return to their settlement.

We pick up right where the first Dune left off, with Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) assimilating into the Fremen tribe led by Stilgar (Javier Bardem).

And as the trailer ends, we get a clearer look at a sandworm. It looms above Paul and Jessica, mouth agape and ready to devour whatever and whoever is in its way.

As Jessica and Paul make their way back to Stilgar's Sietch, they pleasantly witness the tribe members traveling on the back of a sandworm, a lethal creature to most humans.
