Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron said Monday that he's leaving the band after nearly 30 years. The 62-year-old Cameron announced his departure in a social media post.
Drummer Matt Cameron has left Pearl Jam after 27 years. He is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, also being inducted with Soundgarden this year.
As noted, Cameron joined Pearl Jam in 1998, which was after the heyday of grunge, and thus the heyday of the band. To be fair, he was busy being a part of Soundgarden, no slouches in the grunge scene.
