The Provo River Delta recreation area reopened after a four-year, $10 million restoration project aimed at aiding the June sucker fish.

This is the delta where the Colorado River meets the ocean, or rather, what's left of it. Since the early 1960s, one of America's great waterways almost never actually reaches the sea.

The Provo River Delta isn’t just a place to go fishing and hunting. There are miles of paved trails with interpretive signs for anyone who wants to explore the area on foot.

The Provo River Delta provides recreational amenities (like a 1.2-mile trail and wildlife observation tower) to Utah County residents and a safe haven for a threatened fish species.
