I started editing all my PDF files with this free, self-hosted tool, and I’m not going back - MSNWith Stirling PDF, I can easily merge all the individual PDF articles into one master file. Then, if my professor asks for specific sections, I can use the extract or remove pages functions.
Reading PDF files has always been free, but creating them was another matter. And now there’s a cheap alternative to paying full price for Acrobat: RoboPDF.
As such, it could open a PDF file as long as the %PDF-header started within the first 1024 bytes of the file. There’s, however, a change in the scheme of things now.
